and there is very little sonic difference in the physical discs and high quality(VBR or 256 kbps)

Little sonic difference between and 256 kbps & 1440 kbps? Amazing!

And if you go up to 320kbps MP3 I'd be willing to bet only the most discriminating audiophile with a small house priced component system could tell the difference
